This section pays homage to my upbringing in Bangalore in the 1990s, offering a vivid, vibrant and colourful tapestry that showcases the depth of the city’s heritage. Through my paintings I wish to invite others to reminisce about the serene and verdant Bangalore of yesteryears, before the IT boom transformed it into the bustling modern metropolis it is today. The importance of preserving Bangalore’s heritage has been emphasized further by celebrating some of the erstwhile buildings and sights that have been lost in the process of developing the city’s infrastructure to keep up with the demands of its growing population.
